Ben Utz is a subject matter expert in claims pricing and cost containment processes. After completing his education at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, he spent 3 years as a Pharmaceutical Research & Development Formulation Specialist. It was during this time that Ben built up his data analytics and process improvement skill sets.
Ben then moved into the claims pricing space and has been working with Sharing Ministries and Self Funded ERISA plans to contain their costs and improve their claims process. At AMPS, Ben has led process improvement projects across multiple departments, has led AMPS operations team, and stood up AMPS data analytics & reporting platform. Currently he is responsible for AMPS Medical Bill Review product, setting claim pricing strategies and best practices / policies.
